i think thats a gr8 idea

vict17 Thu 17-Feb-05 19:08:58

you mean their age?

HunkerMunker Thu 17-Feb-05 19:09:43

How do you do it for babies under one year? DS would be DS10.5months which looks odd!

Could be DS2004 though.

HunkerMunker Thu 17-Feb-05 19:10:26

Only then he could be two months old. Hmm.

Is a fanny to do when you only have one child though.

Yes that would be good Cod.

Also I'm sure I've seen it suggested before (but don't remember the outcome) why can't we have a "return to top" at the bottom of a thread?

SoupDragon Thu 17-Feb-05 19:13:46

Some people can't just leave well alone.... Snort!

vict17 Thu 17-Feb-05 19:14:40

it would stop all they 'what age are they' questions

jangly Thu 17-Feb-05 19:16:08

Makealist - just press Home key.

Top idea Cods.

For those that are only months just put ds0.5 for 5 months for example (I know 5 months is not 0.5 but it just makes it easier).

Sounds great to me, far more logical and useful.

Might be amusing if half the members use one system and half use the other, and everyone ends up hopelessly confused

ThomCat Thu 17-Feb-05 19:49:13

i think it's a good idea but could we drop the 'dear' in dear son. I've never liked that. So it would be d3 or s7 or d05 if they are months old not years.

Gobbledigook Thu 17-Feb-05 19:50:08

But TC, we refer to ours as 'ds' at home now

WideWebWitch Thu 17-Feb-05 19:51:00

I think it's a good idea, it's so busy now it would be good to get a quick idea of how old a child is.

ThomCat Thu 17-Feb-05 19:51:58

do you, dear.... (ohhhh it's horrid!!)
