Not quite site stuff but its about this Ocado survey thing thats going on. I'm now suddenly getting emails from Waitrose.

Yep, me too. And when I went to the website to see if they deliver here I was told that I could collect my groceries from Waitrose Morningside (Edinburgh). I live in Glasgow.

Definitely not something I've filed in elsewhere either.

Ocado deliver to me at 11:30 at night. No more dodging the replenishing carts at the supermarket for me

Hi.
Just to clarify MN has definitely NOT given anyones email address to Waitrose (or Ocado for that matter).
When you do a survey and add your email address for the prize draw then MN uses the email addresses to select and notify the prize draw winners. The winners details get sent on so they can get the prize.
Sometimes we ask if you'd like to be a case study or if we can pass on your email address and only if you expressly said yes would your details be passed on.

PS For what its worth, I've had emails from Waitrose before and emailed them to ask where they'd got my address from and they were v. helpful.

Nbg - yes, If you use any of the major browsers your email address is sniffable. Hahah not mine though (I just tart mine about like no-ones business hence the level of spam I get ).
