Did MNHQ make a decision about being able to add to an OP? I think we need it..

i don't always explain myself properly in an OP and find myself repeating throughout the thread "blah blah I didn't mean that, I meant..."

If we could ADD to an OP

ADDED BY MAMAG AT 2.05

I didn't mean that, I meant

It would save a lot of thread-skimmers my wrath

[puppy dog eyes]

I don't think we shouljd be able ot edit, BTW, just add something.

stands with Custy against MamaPorn........

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rhubarb · 10/07/2008 19:20

Custy is, apparently, spoiling for a fight. Although this is entirely normal I think it is only right that I challenge her to a fight because I am reet bored.

What have you got against this MarsPornLady?

I agree - think that's a good idea.

Don't have to be able to edit the post - just to add onto it to explain something that may not said quite how you meant.

And lets face it - how many of us have posted something in a fit of rage/tears/fury/giggles.......only for the thread to go the "wrong" way and find themselves constantly having to explain what they meant in a more ratioinal manner.

but then you'd have tons of OPs that went like this:

"AIBU to think that the really old tosser with no babies in his car shouldn't have parked in the P & T space in tescos? I mean it's not like he's in a rush, he could have sat and waited for a disabled space all day. Twat"

added by OP
of course I didn't meeeean to say any of that, what I meant to say was: I'm off to do an internet shop, anyone want anything?

No dont allow revisions to OP.if you post a doozey - well tough titty. how tiresome if responses not going how expected that OP be tweaked/edited "oh i actually meant blah blah"

MarsLady · 10/07/2008 20:04

One of the biggest problems I can see with it is this:

OPh no blah blah blah has happened what shall I do?

MNers: ooh try this and this

OP: You don't understand I can't

MNers: it's really simple.

OP(edited) ...what shall I do? You see my difficulty is this and that prevents me from doing the necessary

New to thread MNers: hey you miserable lot. Can't you see why the OP is reacting like that. Stop being so mean to the poor popsie poo!

Leave the OP alone. Explain yourself clearly at the start and if you can't then simply add the relevent details before you piss everyone off!
