i could get on to the home page but not any of the message boards, i thought it was just my computer playing up but maybe not

nailpolish Mon 10-Jan-05 08:11:57

me too, i was in the middle of chatting and everything just crashed

RTKangaMummy Mon 10-Jan-05 08:13:13

I was getting so annoyed with it

I couldn't make it load anything

It was sooooooooooo frustrating

RTKangaMummy Mon 10-Jan-05 08:14:07

NP what time was that???

Hulababy Mon 10-Jan-05 08:19:31

I couldn't get on either. Can't remember exact time, but earlier than 11.15 for me - more like 10:30 - didn't get back on before going to bed either.

nailpolish Mon 10-Jan-05 08:21:15

cant remember exactly - after 1030pm anyway. dh (techi man) examined it and said it was the computer at source that was the prob. he could have been waffling tho

RTKangaMummy Mon 10-Jan-05 08:21:22

looking at active convers

it stops at 9.45 until 3.15am

LapsedGymJunkie Mon 10-Jan-05 09:11:46

Ah well

At least I got an early night

Gwenick Mon 10-Jan-05 09:13:12

Yeah I couldn't get on from quite early - and was still unable to at 2.30am when I went to bed

lowcalCOD Mon 10-Jan-05 09:18:03

pph couldnt
she immediatley launches a conspracy theory!

JanH Mon 10-Jan-05 09:18:40

I wondered if it was being cleansed, coddy!

Wasn't though.

I thought perhaps Tech was back from his holiday and was frantically deleting stuff. But no, its still there.

moondog Mon 10-Jan-05 09:33:02

Oh good, wasn't just me then!
Suspected dh of having sabotaged my laptop in order to force me to interact a bit more for a while.
it really p**d me off. Went to bed in a huff.

SeaShells Mon 10-Jan-05 09:36:13

Me neither, very disturbing, thought I had a virus or something

RTKangaMummy Mon 10-Jan-05 11:08:16

I am so reliieved that it wasn't just my laptop.

DH used it then brought it back upstairs to me

and no mumsnet

BUT he is not computer literate so was sure he wouldn't know how to stop me satisfying my addictions

But what had happened??????

Obviously I realise now that it was a central prob.

I did for a minute think that mumsnet had been closed down

But this morning everyone was here

Thank goodness

SPARKLER1 Mon 10-Jan-05 11:09:59

I wasn't able to get on either. Missed it lots!!!!!!

Tinker Mon 10-Jan-05 14:10:01

Me neither. I assumed it was tech deleting the evidence, "These blasted women...every time I go on holiday..."

KateandtheGirls Mon 10-Jan-05 14:12:28

Me either, and it was late afternoon/early evening for me. I did wonder if they had shut down for some sort of legal reason....

Glad to see it back this morning. I was in danger of being productive.

marthamoo Mon 10-Jan-05 14:12:52

Me neither - and, sad, sad woman that I am I just sat here - looking at other stuff on the PC and obsessively checking back every few minutes to see if MN was back. So I didn't even get an early night!

No, it's not cleansed is it, JanH? Glad I'm not the only one sad enough to check

SPARKLER1 Mon 10-Jan-05 14:13:07

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm wonder what happened?

SPARKLER1 Mon 10-Jan-05 14:13:55

<<<Holds hand up in the air>>>> I will admit to sitting here for ages trying to get on too!! I AM MAD
