I am disproportionately excited seeing as I probably wont use it.

But WOO-HOO anyway!!!!

NormaStanleyFletcher Thu 13-Sep-07 00:33:51

So, if MNHQ puts a no button for every topic, what will people read hmm?

MrsMarvel Thu 13-Sep-07 00:36:30

See, MN do listen!
I do wish they would get rid of the "include special needs" button. If not I want a historical explanation of why special needs should be excluded.

WaldenYapp Thu 13-Sep-07 00:37:02

Perhaps we should add a 'block this poster from my view so I don't have to see theirs' button as well hmm

CheGueviley Thu 13-Sep-07 00:38:38

Peraps they should add a 'Disallow WaldenYapp from using the hmm' button?

WaldenYapp Thu 13-Sep-07 00:40:13

Perhaps they should. So you will not be able to see my posts. That would be better obviously.

CheGueviley Thu 13-Sep-07 00:41:44

Is there something wrong with your posts that we should know about?

WaldenYapp Thu 13-Sep-07 00:43:10

Absolutely not, AFAIK. I just find it bewildering that 'without .....' boxes are popping up every time there is a row.

CheGueviley Thu 13-Sep-07 00:44:59

Fantastic - 4 rows in 7 years.

WaldenYapp Thu 13-Sep-07 00:47:43

Actually you will find that the boxes have popped up in the last 2 years, actually maybe even less than that. But I don't want to argue with you in particular as it is not that important in the grand scheme of things smile

CheGueviley Thu 13-Sep-07 01:29:32

To be fair, arguing with me is fairly important in the grand scheme of things. But pleased you dont want to all the same.

Egypt Thu 13-Sep-07 01:59:53

there's a good reason for the 'include special needs' box, but i can't remember what it is. anyway it was requested by the parents who frequent the sn boards

LieselVentouse Thu 13-Sep-07 07:33:35

An "In the news" thread turned into a row??? Why???

TnOgu Thu 13-Sep-07 07:40:44

LV -how are ye?

How's Catriona?

Trinityrhino Thu 13-Sep-07 07:55:41

something about maddy and the fact that not everyone wants it stuffed in their face when they log on.........but I may be wrong

LieselVentouse Thu 13-Sep-07 08:30:08

tnog my sweet, i was looking for you cause i didnt think i had spoken to you since i had her. she is fine, feeding at the moment - hence the bad typing

LieselVentouse Thu 13-Sep-07 08:30:54

how can people get so touchy - its main news at the moment so why not discuss

TnOgu Thu 13-Sep-07 08:33:27

< Good to hear, LV.

I think of you often. >

dustystar Thu 13-Sep-07 08:34:18

The special needs thing came up because there were quite a few occasions where people piled onto a SN thread and were very critical and hurtful to some of the parents on the SN board. It was felt that some of these paople may not have noticed that they were posting on a SN thread - thus the 'include SN' button.

CheGueviley Thu 13-Sep-07 08:50:47

Really Dustystar?
I wondered about that too. Thanks.

(BTW, There was no row shock)

lou33 Thu 13-Sep-07 08:54:28

yes, dusty is right

i like the sn option

saggarmakersbottomknocker Thu 13-Sep-07 09:02:39

I like In the News but need a 'without tabloid gossip' tickbox.

And whilst we're on the subject when the 'Christmas' topic comes online I want a 'without Christmas' tickbox please. Bah humbug.

lou33 Thu 13-Sep-07 09:03:35
