why do I repeatedly have to accept the terms and conditions

The privacy pop up fills my screen at random moments and only goes away if I close Mumsnet or press "I accept". It's utterly random and I have already "accepted" more than once.

It's very irritating!

I was wondering this tonight.... seems to be a new thing that it is continually asking me to accept its cookies (like 3 times during an evening)

Are you on incognito? Or private browsing? It doesn't remember you each time and therefore you have to keep accepting.

I'm on the same laptop I use every time I'm on, and it stays logged in and opens automatically when I turn on the laptop.

Hi there everyone,

We're really sorry to hear about this - this can happen when using an incognito or private browser, but it seems it's happening even for some of you that aren't.

Can we ask what device and browser you're all using to access Mumsnet?

Hi again all,

Is there any chance you're all using an Ad Blocker?

We did find some identify some similar issues on this thread with users using adblockers on this thread.

This is happening on every page! It's driving me mad!!!!!!
I'm not incognito, or using an ad blocker and it didn't start happening until I accessed the site away from home. Now I'm back home and it won't stop.
I'm on android, chrome, Samsung a3.
I looked in my account, but I can't find anywhere that allows me to change my cookie settings.
Please help!

Hello! You may need to turn off private browsing so that the site remembers you. We don't really have a way around this other than that!

Thanks for this - are you using private browsing?

Not private browsing, no. It's been happening for a while, at least a month, but I was having wifi connection problems so just put it down to that.
