I can't add my child for development emails

Hi, I enjoyed these with my first child but I can't seem to add my new baby to my profile in order to sign up for the emails. When I click the save changes button after ticking the box to allow MN to save my data it just moves the page up and doesn't save anything. Refreshing reverts to the previous page.

I'm on a Windows 10 PC on Chrome.

Hi there BertieBotts

Really sorry to hear you're having problems. We've nipped in and had a look, our systems are showing you as subscribed to the child development emails, so what we've done is un-subscribed then re-subscribed you to them, to see if that helps.

If not, please do let us know.

Hi Anya,

I think I am subscribed for my older DC. The problem is I can't add my new baby. (My older one is over 5 so I don't think I get them for him any more anyway.)

Is there a better way I should be getting in contact?

Hi there BertieBotts,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and apologies again that you're having trouble adding your newest baby (congrats, by the way!) on to your profile. We are looking in to this at the moment and will let you know what to try next asap.
Thanks for your patience,
All the best,
Kim

Hi BertieBotts - congrats on your new baby!

Any chance you could pop into Settings and try to save the changes again? It should work for you now.

I've tried and it still isn't working. I click on Save Changes and nothing happens. (I have ticked the box about data protection) I have tried leaving it for a bit to see if it was just processing slowly, but nothing happens.

Thanks for the update, sorry to hear you're still struggling with this. Will take this back to Tech and ask them to take another look for you.

Hi Bertie - just quickly checking that you're adding the gender of your new baby as well as their DOB? I managed to replicate the problem you're having but it was because I'd not added the gender.

If you could confirm for me that would be great! Thanks.

Hi AmyG yes I am - but I can try adding him as a girl instead and see if that helps?

Thanks for the update, no that wouldn't make a difference. Cheers for checking though.

Back to the drawing board! Is it possible you could send me a screenshot of what you see after you've hit the Save Changes button? You can post it here or DM me if you'd prefer.

Aha - on a whim I decided to try the delete my information button at the bottom, and once I'd done that, it let me add him.

If you get the issue in future, I wonder if it was the presence of DS1 which was messing it up? As he's over 5 years old (2008) so it might have been confusing the system. (I would have signed up for his emails probably 10 years ago...)

Ah thanks Bertie - I'm glad it's worked for you. I'll feed this intel back to the Tech team. Cheers! Brew
