SEN topics in Active

DamsonGin · 08/04/2018 23:27

I can't see any in active, even though I've customised the topics I see to include the SEN ones.

I did that years ago but it's relatively recently that they're no longer there in active, have I missed something?

I've just checked & I'm not seeing them either, despite being opted in to seeing them.

I was just thinking about this today as not seen any in a while.

Gremlins must have snuck into the server. Only explanation I can think of.

Spoooky!

I was just about to start a thread saying the same thing......

I haven't had any SN threads come up in active for ages, so I double checked and I have definitely customised my topics.

I might report this thread to MNHQ to give them the heads up and see whats up!

I chose for Mumsnetters with SN to appear in Active, doesn’t appear. To be fair, though, not many people post over there in contrast with Chat/AIBU/etc.

There might not be as much traffic, because it might be happening to lots of posters!

Hi there,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We're going to try and establish whether it's a fault or whether it's just that SN aren't making it into Active because other threads/topics are just attracting more traffic.

Will be back with an update as soon as we can.

Ok, I started a 'testing, testing' thread on sn chat. It definitely didn't come up in my active convos. Anyone else fancy a try?

DamsonGin · 09/04/2018 20:34

Thanks Rivka, hazeyjane started a thread in snchat and a couple of us have tried bumping it but it doesn't seem to be coming up in active immediately after, as you'd expect.

Maybe our spooky-woo posts have broken Mumsnet, Damson!

Must be it. Need to spin round three times without spilling a glass of gin to break the spell.

We can customise the topics that appear in the Active feed?

You pour the gin, I'll light the incense.

Hold on to your booze and prepare to go widdershins!

My box is ticked, Eggy. But things have gone wonky.

And I'll try not to sneeze too often, that really messes up the end result.

Yes Eggysmum, though I tend to do it on the desktop rather than mobile version, it's one of the options along the top bar in talk somewhere from memory.

We're just nudging about this one - bear with us Flowers

its odd, i havn't been able to opt in for ages. it says there is an option, but then doesn't give me the option.

Any progress on this?

I'm a bit hacked off that I'm not getting special needs threads and not getting Feminism threads. If I'm just going to be left with irritating AIBUs, I'm off.
