Changing password

I want to do a temporary name change to comment on a thread but have forgotten my password (I access Mumsnet via my mobile so never have to type the password). It won't let me change it without typing in my old password. What should I do?

Hi there, have you tried resetting your password? We've checked your registration and everything's in order so you should be good to go.
Try here: //www.mumsnet.com/password-reset/reset.
Remember that this is a time-limited request so you'll have to change your password within 30 minutes of clicking on the link, without changing the device (phone, laptop, pc, Mac etc) you're using to access Mumsnet. (And do remember to look for the reset email in your Spam folder as it may end up there.)

Our new password requirements are as follows:
10 characters
A mix of letters and at least one symbol or number
Not a previous password (only applies to the last two you've used)

If you are on a mobile device and are getting the message “The following problems prevented us from resetting your password” but no more information, this is an issue our tech team are aware of. We’re very sorry, but you’ll need to try resetting your password on a desktop or laptop.
