Taken down at request of OP. Disappointed, I wanted that recipe but didn't copy it down.

Seriously? Shall I give it to you? I love it and make it all the time. Perfectly normal food in this house.

If you're being sarky then you can sod off Wink

Glug of olive oil and sweat 2 roughly chopped onions with some garlic- I use paste.

Add diced carrots and celery- don't be neat, rough chopping is name of the game.

Add squirt of tomato puree and a can of tinned tomatoes, knorr chicken stock cube in half a cup of boiling water.

2 cans of drained butter beans - Waitrose or Aldi are best ime.

Loads of dried parsley and black pepper.

Simmer for at least half an hour and add water if it looks a bit thick.

Serve with a drizzle of oil and crumbled feta on top ShockShockShock

LOL I'm guessing that as was hinted, the OP remembered/realised that the friend in question was on Mumsnet and so had the post taken down.

She was getting absolutely hammered though (unjustly I thought)

The deletion message was along the lines of 'it wasn't really helping anyone was it'

taken down at OPs request.

Not surprised, it was vicious, mn at its worst.

That recipe sounds delish, but I can't eat onion, garlic celery or the beans Sad

Will look like this. You can make it more soupy by adding more stock and tomatoes and a nice hunk of bread goes well with it so you can mop up the sauce.

Thanks I do something v. similar but thought it was Spanish: I guess it's all in the spice/seasonings.. I love beans in stews!

@LineysRun
Sausages were on the side, not mixed in.,

It was the greatest RTFT in all of history. It was BUTTER BEANS 20000000000000 pages later. Not BROAD BEANS.

Since we're in Site Stuff, can't MNHQ make it that the OP's posts are automatically highlighted instead of us having to choose it? That way, people might understand that it was BUTTER BEANS, which are delicious. Cancel the fucking cheque indeed.

Automatic highlight would be most useful!

MN is fantastically adept at the old mountain/molehill, at times. Is it a full loon moon tonight?

Mind you, the ability to RTFT helpsHmm
