I've asked MN Admin & they've asked that a post a thread on Site Stuff to guage interest.

On a recent thread it appears that they were quite a few of us who have IBD, (Crohn's disease or Ulceritive Colitis) and other conditions either associated with this disease or other AI disorders.

If you'd be interested in this as a new topic under Health please post on here. The more responses this thread gets the more chance of it happening.

Would be good to have a suppprt thread out there.

Yes here from a Crohnie. I'm always whingeing about my ailments grin I find others' views helpful and comforting.

70ontheinside Thu 06-Apr-17 20:20:08

Tentatively interested - I have a very rare AI disease but it doesn't have much in common with IBD.

Christinayangstwistedsista Thu 06-Apr-17 20:20:17

Thank you.

Anyone is welcome, there are lots of conditions under the AI umbrella. Just happened that a few of us on a recent thread have IBD but the more the merrier! smile

It could be a voice for other hidden chronic illness' too.

LadyNymeriaGhost Thu 06-Apr-17 20:31:48

Scleroderma, here! Yes please.

LadyNymeriaGhost Thu 06-Apr-17 20:32:40

I mean yes please, to the thread. Not the scleroderma. I could do without that. blush

myrtleWilson Thu 06-Apr-17 20:33:48

I don't suffer from IBD (et al) but do have a less intrusive AI (psoriasis) but can still be a right pita so would like to vent occasionally (but quietly)

ReginaGeorgeinSheepsClothing Thu 06-Apr-17 20:34:35

Oh yes I'm interested in one, I have Rheumatoid arthritis and showing markers for lupus.

VioletLips Thu 06-Apr-17 20:39:55

Thank you all.

I'm not sure how many of us need to show an interest before this topic gets the go ahead but fingers crossed we can get this up and running.

We can support eachother.

LadyNymeriaGhost Thu 06-Apr-17 20:41:21

Uh, uh, and coeliac, though there is an area for that.

Coffeethrowtrampbitch Thu 06-Apr-17 20:43:13

Yes please, I'd be interested.

I've got neuro-sarcoidosis, or something similar as far as they can tell. But it is an AI disease.

BobbinThreadbare123 Thu 06-Apr-17 20:45:56

Yep. I'm a UC/Crohnie. With some arthritis thrown in for good measure.

Pootle40 Thu 06-Apr-17 20:46:59

Yes psoriasis here

VioletLips Thu 06-Apr-17 20:47:33

There are such a wide range of diseases aren't there.

I hope you are all being well looked after by your gp/consultant/surgeon/nurse and are managing your symptoms well.

GohomeRoger Thu 06-Apr-17 20:48:01

Absolutely. I've got UC and would like a safe space to talk about poo grin

Booboobedoo Thu 06-Apr-17 20:48:11

I have five AI diseases! (Do I win £5?).

I think this is a great idea. I don't talk about it much Irl, as it's so BORING, but I'd love an online space to whinge chat, as it's unlikely to suddenly all disappear.

Piehunter Thu 06-Apr-17 20:49:16

Ooh yes! I have antiphospholipid syndrome that affects me significantly day to day and constantly under investigation for further body weirdness..

VioletLips Thu 06-Apr-17 20:51:30

Booboo, yes atm you're heading for the big prize star

Amockingjayhey Thu 06-Apr-17 20:52:01
