Pages jumping to animated ad at the bottom

What's happening?

Every page I load, or go back to, I'm directed not to the top of the page, nor where I was before, but to a smurf playing football, or, just now, an animated mobile phone.

I could be thankful that at least the pages are loading not hanging, but this renders them just as unreadable.

iPhone SE, Safari, mobile site.

We're currently working on fixing a very annoying issue with safari and so we feel that this could be related.

Not the smurf, though.. The smurf is a competition we're running!

We're hoping to get the issue sorted ASAP.

It's not just the smurf; I'll let him off! It's every page - jumps straight to the bottom to the big square ad.

Sometimes when I'm hfway through reading the page too.

If I'm quick, I can stop it, by holding my finger on the top post before it slides down. If I do that all the time the page is loading, it usually behaves. But obviously that doesn't help if my finger ends up accidentally clicking on a link to another page (or ad).

So the Smurf is meant to be there? it looks like the lower half of the page hasn't loaded because of the white space gap or my adblocker has blocked the text that tells me what it is

It's not a good look for you MNHQ (the Smurf) IMO (not that my opinion is worth much!)

Yes I keep being taken to the bottom of the page where the skirt is and it's very annoying when I want to be at the top

Still happening for me this morning (iPhone/Safari). It's making the mobile site unusable so I'm out until it's fixed.

Happening with me on every page right now, keeps jumping to the bottom .
Currently on active chat boards and every single thread I click on it jumps to the bottom, then same again when I go back into the active list.

Started happening with me today, every new page goes to the advert at the bottom of the page with the annoying smurf. I'm on an iPhone and accessing it through safari rather than the app, just for info.

Tech are struggling to replicate and need to look on the exact page/pages that this is happening. Any links are fine, even if it is happening on multiple.

It is happening to me to, on any thread I click on it goes straight to the bottom of the page, I'm using safari on an iPhone

Still happening on every mumsnet page I load. I'm on the android mobile site.

It's not just the surf it happened with a Dove deodorant ad just now.
