MNHQ Tech is this a site issue?

Is anyone else getting the pop ups as attached?
Not sure if it's something I'm having a problem with, or whether it's a site advertising issue.

I'm on a Windows 10 laptop using Opera to browse. It's started happening in the last couple of days or so.

I've googled and seen a thread on another forum asking about the same kind of thing, but no one knew the answer. I haven't had the problem on any other websites.

Thanks.

They both look like AdChoice ads - you can tell by the little blue arrow on the top right hand corner. MN hosts AdChoice ads, but they pop up depending on what you've been Googling previously.

Hi Fru, it's not the adverts themselves, it's the pop up about taking over my audio devices.
Although, interestingly I haven't been searching for cars of any kind, or properties in London either, so that's going to get them nowhere Grin

Ah, I misunderstood Blush. Hopefully MNHQ might be able to shed some light on your issue then!

Hi

This is an odd one, I am looking into it but it goes without saying that you should deny access.
To help, can you tell me if it happens every time? Are the ads always the same when the popup comes up?

Thanks

Hi @AngieMumsnet. Don't worry I obviously deny permission.

Sorry no, I can't give you any pointers. It doesn't happen every time. It's not happened at all today and when it does happen it's different ads and different URLs quoted. Only ever happened to me on Mumsnet and only on the laptop with Opera browser.

I hoped by posting that someone else may have noticed it, but if they have, no one's said as yet.
