It's odd, I was doing a couple of searches and some results have thumbnails, of what appear to be photos from Mumsnet

See screenshot.

Hi there. Thanks for raising this. We'll have a look into it and get back to you.

00100001, it would be really useful to know which device and browser you are using too if that's okay.

It happens on the following:

Chrome (windows, ios, android)
IE (windows)
Firefox (windows)
Opera (Windows)
safari (ios)

Desktop and mobile site.

it it just m ?

Hulababy Sun 29-Jan-17 19:32:00

Only does it for me if I use the search on the Mumsnet search bar at the top of the page.
Doesn't if i use Google itself.
On Mac using Safari

So for me - images only show up when I use this search tool, on Mn itself.

MNHQ???

Hello!

Sorry for the delay.

The screenshot pictured above is actually finding threads via a search engine, and so they pull images from threads into their own web search.

We're really sorry, unfortunately, there's not much we can actually do about this. It's out of our control as it's not us doing it, however, we can confirm that we don't use thumbnails on our internal search. The search bar at the top right is external and does search the whole internet rather than just Mumsnet!

Basically, nothing to worry about but not something we can change at the moment.

We hope this clears things up!
