Option to jump to last post?

Just wondering if this might be possible. In longer threads it takes me ages to get back to where I last posted (partly as my computer is a very very slow dinosaur) and I am just wondering if it would be possible to get a 'jump to my last post' option or if this would be too much work to implement?

Kinda like how when MNHQ comment on a thread and you can jump immediately to their post.

If others feel this isn't needed, fair enough, was just a suggestion

Also an option to edit our own posts that lasts..say..10 minutes after you post would be nice. I hate having typos all of the time and still forget to check before posting lol

If you press on the three dots underneath a post, there's a bookmark option. Next time you go ok the thread, it will take you to the last post you bookmarked.

If you're on the app, you can swipe a post left and it gives the option to bookmark

Did you really think everyone was scrolling through maybe hundreds of posts every time they opened a thread?

I kind of want to give you all that time back.

I can never work the bookmark/last post clicky thing but I have found out that if you are looking at "Threads I am On" and instead of clicking on the thread title you click on one of the last listed comments/poster name shown then you go directly to the last page

The OP says she's on a computer, so presumably she's using the desktop site on a desktop?

In which case the bookmark is in the bottom right hand corner of your (or anyone else's) last post.

You have to hover your cursor around the bottom right hand corner of that post and then you'll see a blue rectangle which says 'Bookmark'. Click on that and it will tell you it's been 'Saved'.

As for Edit. We don't have that here, but if you use Preview before you Post, then you get the option to 'edit' prior to posting.

What d'you mean by the top Buzzard?

If you mean the beginning - I'm usually on an iphone and tap the top of the screen. After bookmarking obviously.

Not so easy on a laptop, I know.

You might have to enable the bookmarks thing in "Customise"

It works for me on mobile and desktop. I don't use the app.

Buzzard - on the mobile or desktop site? On mobile there's a "top" link on every post.

Also on a computer you can press the "Home" key on your keyboard to instantly jump to the top of the page (on any website).

If you want to go to the top of a long thread on a laptop you just hit the home button in the same way you get to the top of any page - is that what you mean?

There should be some kind of intro package when you join MN to explain about bookmarks and highlighting posts, it would save so much hassle and missing of OP updates

Is there a "Home" key on the keyboard of a Chromebook? Usually Home/End/Page Up/Page Down all together.

When I want to quickly reach the top with the mouse I just grab the scrollbar and move it.
