Flashing and moving side bits are driving me mental

Just that really. They don't make me more likely to look at them and buy stuff, they just make me want to get away from that page as quickly as possible. They are putting me off using the site.

I think nothing is 'behaving badly' it's been like that for ages in spite of promises, years ago,
that moving adverts would not be allowed. There were flashing mauve and pink lights too and I lost the first message I composed on this thread.
Also in 'threads I'm watching' it still says that 11 discussions have messages and I can only see four. No traffic on the thread where that was reported.

Like the spec savers one. They are just irritating and make me less likely to buy their stuff. There's eye catching and there is irritating.
