I have just figured out how "Trending" works, thanks to the post-wedding email thread!!!

It was full & stopped taking new posts yesterday, but was linked on FB today, & it's trending now, even though nobody can post

It's just down to clicks on thread, isn't it? I always thought it was the busiest (even though they often aren't very busy, but I couldn't think what else it could be)

This click-bait business is getting very dodgy (well it always was but this seems dodgier somehow)

Hi LowDudgeon - yes, Trending works on thread clicks, and Active works on the busiest threads, or those that are being posted on the most.
