Duplicate account?

At some point I think I must have set up 2 accounts by mistake. I'm logged into the original on the app, and the other one on the web.

I'm trying to see my PMs but can't see any for original account (not sure where they would be on the app) When I look at "My Account" on the site it only shows new account and won't let me see other one.

But when I'm in the app, and click the link it takes me to the new one... But if I try to post with that username it says there is already someone with that name (yes - me!)

I'm not even making sense, sorry. I just want to check PMs for my other account. Maybe just delete this account?

Nah - you're making sense after a fashion. I'm presuming that you set up two accounts by mistake but it still sounds all a bit of a fankle. (Two separate accounts being a No No as far as I'm aware - and you can't see PMs on the app anyway, I think: no facility to do that to my knowledge. EG - I use mostly the app but have to go to the main site to view messages.)

Personally, I'd be tempted to fess up to MNHQ by mailing them on [email protected] and they should be able to sort you out. It will mean one of the accounts going, I assume, but maybe they'll let you see any PMs to it first? Other posters may have different views.

Thank you cozie I thought I was supposed to contact MNHQ this way, as the email was generic, but will do that if no response here.

You've answered one of my questions about not seeing PMs on the app. It's still weird that the accounts are somehow linked, if I click on 'My Account' on the app, it takes me to my Other Account online.

Can I delete my own account?

You mean I've sockpuppeted myself by mistake oops! in my defence it was probably when MN was having problems and we all had to reset our accounts...

I did wonder if I should use my secret identity to fight crime, but TBH its so confusing it would be simpler just to get rid of one account. I've no idea how real sockpuppets manage to keep their identities straight - it's doing my head in.
