why have you changed my colours?

(24 Posts)

Now the OP is a funny jade and the others are purple and it's confusing me!
It looks like the OP is just having a long conversation with themselves.

I was just wondering that myself. Make the funny colours go away MNHQ.

Good question!

CrabbitArse Wed 23-Mar-16 05:52:15

Oh me too, it's confusing my sleep deprived brain.

whojamaflip Wed 23-Mar-16 07:02:27

Me too - thought I was going mad!

My colours are still the same as they were.

wonkylampshade Wed 23-Mar-16 07:26:32

Mine gone funny too - I also had a pop up box telling me my name when I opened the app this morning!

blueskyinmarch Wed 23-Mar-16 07:37:35

Me too. But everything is normal on my laptop.

I had that message too about my username last night.

Alohamora Wed 23-Mar-16 08:15:23

I think it's come from the update. I was testing the updated version and went back to the 'normal' one as the colours annoyed me.

BunnyTyler Wed 23-Mar-16 08:24:30

I thought I'd messed it up myself without knowing.

I don't like it, too fussy with all the colours.
Agree with you OP, it's like the OP is having a long conversation with themselves.

I am most definitely not a fan of this change.

Please make it stop!!

(I also had the pop up box with my name in it this morning).

I was just about the ask the same thing.

The colour for general posters is the same as I have it set for the OP. I spent five minutes think and op was arguing with herself this morning.

And why a message reminding me what my user name is?

KatherineMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 23-Mar-16 15:48:30

Hi folks,

We can confirm this is an intentional change on the Mumsnet Talk App, so the OP colour is now turquoise and the rest of the posts are purple.

You can read all about it, here:

What was wrong with the grey? Change for changes sake is a pain in the arse.

SomedayMyPrinceWillCome Wed 23-Mar-16 18:05:44

It's gone back to normal

LightTurquoise Wed 23-Mar-16 18:08:46

I'm not keen.

jenniuol Wed 23-Mar-16 18:18:42

I didn't realise it was intentional. Spent ages this morning trying to change it back blush I'm not keen either.

Mookbark Wed 23-Mar-16 18:26:24

No, I don't like it either. The OPs banner needs to stand out, which it did with the purple/ grey combo. Now, I am finding it harder if I am trying to skim down a thread looking for the Ops posts.

They're not different enough, the turquoise and purple, particularly for someone with poor eyesight.
I'm not colour blind but I can't imagine it's good for that either?

LightTurquoise Wed 23-Mar-16 20:51:47

Mumsnet's blue posts are way too similar to the turquoise.

AHobbyaweek Wed 23-Mar-16 21:37:54

Grrr annoyed!! Change it back!

cozietoesie Thu 24-Mar-16 00:15:45

I preferred the grey (for the sake of my eyes - it was much easier to read for me) and I think the purple was a bad choice - but I'm used to it now.
