Ads making mumsnet unusable.

We already had a thread about this, first the dominos adverts, which are still here & now talk talk and their rocket. I'm using safari on I phone & the whole forums are impossible to use. The screen jumps about & the pages keep reloading (right in the middle of a reply so I lose it).

It's getting worse & worse, why do we have to have the moving ads? Why can't we just have normal still ones so I can still use the site. It does not make me want to use the services of the stupid advertisers. Angry

Why not install adblocker?

Hi TotalPerspectiveVortex,

Thanks for letting us know about these noisy ads - and so sorry that they're ruining Mumsnet for you. We'll get our Ads team straight on the case.

Hi Total,

Is it the ad at the top or bottom of the page? This is really useful information for us to try and get this issue sorted. We've blocked ads from Dominoes so will investigate why this is still causing you problems and we'll try and track down the talk talk ad.

Thanks for reporting, we'll post an update for you once we have one.

Whoops sorry, not been back for a while. It was at the bottom but I've taken up BIWI's suggestion which has worked for me.

tHe side ads are a nightmare on safari today. They streeeeeetch the whole length of the page, constrainig the text to the left all squoshed.
Yesterday on my android I couldnt pm easily because the bottom ad took up almost all of my screen.
They are much much worse recently.

Hi OhYouBadBadKitten,

Are there any particular ads which you keep seeing? Please give us all the details you can about what you're seeing and where abouts on the screen, so we can hopefully sift out anything that's causing problems.

Many thanks.

I don't mind the usual ads so much but I really didn't like the ad asking if I wanted to date younger women today! And it's not related to my browsing or other history - the only other sites I have visited relate to greenhouses.

ad blocker doesn't entirely help, because the screen still jumps around loads when it tries to load the invisible ads. So you end up constantly clicking on things that you don't mean to.

I bet I jinx myself now but after weeks of the pages jumping up and down, it's stopped.

I am being persecuted by the Disney World ad which appears on both sides of the screen, jumps about and irritates the shit out of me. I also have the jumping screen thing too.

I'm on the mobile site and the ads at the top of the screen do my head in, that flashing one with the hand warning me of potential viruses and that I should click on them and install their programme. The flashing drives me mad - it's like a bloody migraine and it's almost always there.

Hi all - please do post or email us ([email protected]) screenshots of these. This is best way for the Ads team to find them and zap them.
