mn jumping about on the screen.

I keep clicking on the wrong thread. Every time I load a new mn page it jumps up and down two or three timeswith a bit of lag between each jump so I end up clicking on random threads and ads. As mn takes quite a while to load each page its getting very frustrating.

ipad safari.

Well you know how I feel about Safari - I'm not convinced it's a stable browser. (And the rest.)

Why not try MN on the new Firefox App - seems fine to me on that.

For the time being anyway.

It is also doing it on Chrome Desktop Win10 but only jumps once.
Problem appears to be DIV ID starting: googleadsiframe_
It creates two iframes and then makes one hidden.
That could well be why the page starts further down and then jumps up, as the browser renders space for both frames and then removes one from view.

I dont have Win 10 but on Chrome on windowsbefore10 I do get a giant gap at the top of the screen.

Same set up and problem here too OYBBK and it's driving me nuts. Click on one thing and a different thread appears. I don't want to use the app, I don't like it. grump. Sad

This has been annoying me for several days. No app here (lowly android user) and I'm fed up off opening a page, to watch it jump down after a second, then just as I'm about to click on something, watch it jump back up again.

No idea why it's doing it. I'm on firefox.

I'm on the App right now but I just visited MN on the Firefox App and there seem to be no problems - as well as a good turn of speed. It's only a new App but it looks like a promising start.

Moan mightily to Mozilla, Charley. (I'm guessing that it's because you're on the Android version.) They're a pretty responsive bunch.

Nethuns is doing it as well so I do wonder if it is a issue with a GoogleAd script. Does explain why it is site wide and why other sites are doing similar things... they all have the common element of the ads script.

Sorry. I just wanted, for once at least, to use a cocktail emoticon. Tech seem reluctant to give us anything but wine. 😀

Hi folks,

Sorry about the jumpiness. We're not sure what might be causing this but we've asked Tech to let us know if they have any ideas and we'll get back to you if we discover any solutions or answers.

That's interesting I haven't had the phenomenon at all if I recall. I wonder what people are doing/ not doing to make it happen?

I get this - Firefox on a Windows laptop. Is it any better using Internet Explorer does anyone know? I only switched to Firefox (about a year ago) because MN was taking a ridiculously long time to load pages on IE.

This is driving me fucking nuts. It's the stupid bloody banner ads at the top of the page causing it. Really annoying to the point that it's putting me off using MN.

Have the EXACT SAME problem here! Lag is about 5 seconds while it jumps up and down. Sometimes I think it has finished its jumping so I click, just as it decides to jump again - so off I toddle to some inane discussion or else end up clicking into an ad of some description. Thought it was just me!

By the way - I'm using firefox on laptop.

It's the same on everything I use. Even worse on IE. Same on my galaxy smartphone - don't know what that uses though.

Say for e.g. I'm replying to a thread. Once I hit 'Post Message', it sort of seems to go up to the top of the thread, stay there for a few seconds, then comes down to the bottom of the thread, to my post.

It is teaching me patience though.

WildeWoman · 28/01/2016 12:08

Just observed it closely there. Hmm

It went up
Then down to post above mine
Then showed my post
Then sort of ironed out the post across the page if you know what I mean? Post box was sort of short and fat, then it went out long and thin.

Lol - I'm not explaining myself well.
