Hello all

Come and have a look at the first four episodes of The Tired Parents, a new animated-reality series which affectionately explores those testy conversations that take place between exhausted new parents, when they're perhaps not quite their usual cheery selves wink.

If you're having the occasional <cough> moment of sleep-deprived mutual grumpiness yourself, you might recognise some of these conversations; if you're beyond that stage now, feel free to relive the horror (and thank your lucky stars grin).

There'll be a new episode every Friday over on, so do check back each week - and in the meantime, let us know what you think, share your own memories of sleep-deprived parental grumpiness - or suggest a scenario that you think would make a great future Tired Parents episode.

UPDATE: New episode available over here!

Loved episode 2 especially except it should be renamed competitive tiredness grin

Episode 4 should have told him to unpack the bags himself!!

Future episodes - who is going to deal with the crying child when they are watching silent witness.

Who left the fucking Lego brick in the hall.

Who has dd copied by saying "fuckit" when she drops her drink.

Who left ds in the car and why has he been there for 45 minutes.

Love it grin

It's brilliant! Episode two is my favourite.

Utter genius! More please.

Cats2010 Fri 15-Jan-16 22:49:10

Love it, especially when one of them tries to sneak off for some precious minutes of alone time getting the potatoes!

GlitterGlassEye Sat 16-Jan-16 00:26:28

Love this!

Love the potatoes one too grin

In fact we seem to be using that one at home now - DH has just said he needs "to pop out for potatoes", just when the DCs are arguing and the lounge is a mess!

"Can you take the kids while I unpack the car". Genius.

Love the NYR's too.

Very funny and spot on.
Waiting for more.

Very funny! Competitive tiredness at its best and uncomfortably accurate in this house

megletthesecond Mon 18-Jan-16 13:44:37

"Can you take the kids...." grin .

This is the guy who's wife posted on MN once about how he never spent time with the family because he was too busy making videos for Youtube, right?

trufflesnout Tue 19-Jan-16 05:55:59

Yes it is! Tim Hope. He's done some awesome music vids

Thethingswedoforlove Tue 19-Jan-16 06:37:27

It really is very very good. Potatoes and tiredness ones are def the funniest so far. Have sent on to db to look at but he is actually at the get up in the night stage right now so think might be too raw!!

burntthesprouts Tue 19-Jan-16 11:14:13

Oh yes, 'escaping' to the shops - recognise that one!

Omg love it! I have had everyone of these conversations with dh. How about one where they are both lying in bed pretending to be asleep in spite of the increasingly loud hysterical child screaming.

sootica Thu 21-Jan-16 21:36:09

How about a "I'm really not very well" versus "well I'm so tired I feel terrible" one

Devora Thu 21-Jan-16 22:41:13

Every single one has been played out (and out, and out) in this house. Looking forward to tomorrow's episode smile

Hello all - v glad you're enjoying The Tired Parents as much as we have been. This week's new episode - in which the exhausted pair 'enjoy' a rare night out alone - is over here.

Thanks too for your suggestions and do keep 'em coming - Tim and Andrew, the creators and stars of The Tired Parents, are reading avidly and planning new episodes as we speak!

I have no real excuse to be a Tired Parent any more as DS is 13 but I love these, all so close to the truth!
