Mumsnet threads archived/mirrored elsewhere - security issue?

I have just stumbled across something odd. I was using Google to search for '[username]' and 'Mumsnet' (so two words in the search box) and got results from a website with the domain name

jcpenneyhours.com

I clicked on a random link and it's an entire Mumsent thread, fully navigable so not a screenshot, being mirrored there.

I cannot navigate to the homepage of this domain - access is forbidden, so I have no idea what the website is.

Given the recent security issues, I thought I'd flag this for attention. I have attached a screenshot of a search for Mumsnet threads on Google.

That is really strange, It even gives the option to log in on that site.

I have just clicked the 'join' button and it gives the option to join, asking for a username and password.

There are hyperlinks to other parenting sites here www.jcpenneyhours.com/mumsnet/Talk

It looks like a phishing website/setup to me

Hi MaidOfStars,

Thanks for flagging this to us. We're a bit bewildered too, to be honest. We're going to forward this to our Tech team so they can take a look.

We'll report back as soon as possible.

I will add that I routinely (daily, probably) search for '[username]' and 'mumsnet' (nobody tell me it's bad form....) and have never had this returned to me before. I suspect it might be a new thing.

I just did the same & it basically worked as an Advance Search. Time for a name change!

How very very bizarre. And a strange list of hits, as well - mostly education. Makes no sense. Page 2 of the google search does actually throw up the opening hours of JC Penneys.

That BoardReader site is bizarre.

Nobody use the register/login links on that website, not even out of curiousity! It's probably a phishing site.

In the most ironic one, yet, "ouryve mumsnet" brings up (other than mumsnet or tweets mentioning mumsnet) this gem

Found a JCpenneyhours one, too - leads to an apparently unlogged in version of the site with images not working.

This one is just rude - a blatant copy, though with mention of the source
alatest.no/anmeldelser/kjopeskap-frysere/beko-tlda625w/po3-39807726,336/ The reviews are lifted straight from mn reviews

Another straight lift - of a thread, this time
willingtobe.com/how-long-does-it-usually-take-dla-to-process-an-application

The first of thelinks snipped from google lads to a luxury coat sore that is inaccessible. The other just links straight to MN, so proabably not naugty.

Found a ocuple of health related threads lifted and copied into treato.com

dawn do you have any wisdom as to what's going on? The threads ive had copied are all ones referring to my infertility so naturally I'm nervous.

I tried this too and got results from mumsnet (which is fine, obviously!), the jcpennyhours site as mentioned above. And also another site: 4.hidemyass.com/ip-2/encoded/Oi8vd3d3Lm11bXNuZXQuY29tL1NlYXJjaFRhbGs_c2VhcmNodHlwZT1zaW5jZSZsYXN0aG91cj0x

All of these sites look exactly like Mumsnet when entered.

I'm getting the same too. I was 'on the list' too, could it be connected in anyway?

Yes, same problem here, found my (now changed) name on the boardreader site. Unnerving given what the posts were about.
