QUICK! Make plans for the early hours of tomorrow there may well be some intermittent downtime between 6am and 8am as we make some essential changes at the data centre.

Nothing will change, it's just some backend work blush

Apologies in advance

BIWI Wed 05-Aug-15 13:41:03

It's party time at MN Central, isn't it?

SqueezyCheeseWeasel Wed 05-Aug-15 13:42:43

I will be asleep.

Thank fuck for Plants vs Zombies! grin

PennilynLott Wed 05-Aug-15 14:46:55

Noooo that's prime breastfeeding / peppa pig time. How about 9pm when I'll be asleep?

FruSirkaOla Wed 05-Aug-15 15:13:47

Thanks for the 'heads-up' Rebecca. I'm often up and MN'ing by then. I guess I'll have to watch Will & Grace and then Everybody Loves Raymond instead? grin

(PS - it's a bit 'glitchy' this afternoon - Bad Gateway)

MrsVamos Wed 05-Aug-15 15:20:17

Have you started early, HQ ?

Lots of bad gateways and 'technical hitch' pages coming up.

cozietoesie Wed 05-Aug-15 15:26:29

Rebecca

Isn't it time that HQ actually scheduled site maintenance eg on a particular morning each week? (That way, your users would become used to it, there wouldn't be the need for announcements such as this and Tech and others could actually plan their work around it.)

DarkEvilMoon Wed 05-Aug-15 15:35:09

They used to have site maintenance every morning between 1am and 2am. Longest hour ever but it was predictable and not unexpected so you just accepted it. You used to get a little screen shot that said something like "sorry site down for maintence will be back at 2am" although it could have been between 2 &3am, i just know it was in the middle of my most active mn-ing time

Maryz Wed 05-Aug-15 15:37:15

It's started, hasn't it?

Or are you all hunkered down in the basement hiding from the wrath of the highlighters?

Mmmmm. <sceptical>

AllThePrettySeahorses Wed 05-Aug-15 17:03:36

But ... but ... but ...

That's my main/only guaranteed MN time while dd's otherwise occupied! Do I have to go to the nethuns instead sad hmm? Ooh, or TV Tropes grin?

Sparklingbrook Wed 05-Aug-15 17:05:46

We will all have to watch Sit Up Britain or whatever it's called. With Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd. sad

FruSirkaOla Wed 05-Aug-15 17:11:38

Sparkling, I think they're going to 'turn it off, pull all the plugs out, count 60 seconds and turn it on again' <snigger>

honeysucklejasmine Wed 05-Aug-15 18:13:45

Oh no! What will I do when I wake up at 6.47am to pee for the 100th time and can't get back to sleep?! Buzzfeed better be good tomorrow. wink

Rumours Wed 05-Aug-15 19:36:22

The one night in my entire life where I have to be awake for 24 hours for a medical test tomorrow morning and this happens???? I was/am relying on MN to keep me awake. Bad timing hospital appointment wink
