"You have a message" with a red flashing envelope. It's giving me a headache - literally. And ids on the top of every third thread I open. I much prefer adverts in the body of the text.

LineRunner Fri 05-Dec-14 19:11:09

I agree.

Shit like this is known to cause headaches and even migraines.

AgentProvocateur Fri 05-Dec-14 19:13:35

See - I can't even type properly because it's affecting me! wink Scammy.

AmyMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 06-Dec-14 16:47:01

Hi both,

Sorry about that. We'll get rid!

AgentProvocateur Sat 06-Dec-14 19:11:36

It's still there tonight.

BusyBumbleBee15 Sun 14-Dec-14 04:26:51

I can still see it now. Gives me a headache so I can't use the mobile site for now. Bit surprised you're having scam adverts like this to be honest - don't mind normal ones but his is obviously scam

WorrisomeHeart Sun 14-Dec-14 07:17:01

And still there this morning - honestly it just looks incredibly tacky, I know MN needs ads but surely there's a screening criteria for the types of advertisers you allow to access the site??

LineRunner Sun 14-Dec-14 07:19:27

It's still there now.

Eeeeekyeeek Sun 14-Dec-14 10:33:57

Still there now. Not only is it annoying it looks scammy as well.

libertychick Sun 14-Dec-14 10:36:08

On mine too. Very annoying.

headlesslambrini Sun 14-Dec-14 10:38:51

Me too, bloody annoying

hevak Sun 14-Dec-14 10:44:21

Also on mine within the last 5-10 minutes - agree with everyone else, it's very annoying

GiantGaspingSatanicCyst Sun 14-Dec-14 10:45:52

Yes, it really brings the tone down tbh. I might as well be looking at Yahoo!

IDontDoIroning Sun 14-Dec-14 11:45:38

It's horrible please get rid of it

DawnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 14-Dec-14 12:42:02

Hi there,

Sorry about this - we'll give our Tech folk another prod and see what's what.

LineRunner Sun 14-Dec-14 12:50:17

Apparently it's a scam advert, I'm told on another thread.

gamerchick Sun 14-Dec-14 12:54:10

Oooh I thought I'd picked up a nasty. A relief right there grin

Is annoying though.

mipmop Sun 14-Dec-14 19:24:07

I can see it too - it appears at the top of the mobile site, above the word "mumsnet". The colour scheme matches your website and it's clearly trying to confuse people through the design they've chosen. (Position on-screen, colours used, the fact that you do have competitions on the site so people may think the text on the ad "you've won an iphone" could be the subject of a PM...)

hugoagogo Sun 14-Dec-14 21:34:26

I have it too
Nasty thing

TheCountessofFitzdotterel Sun 14-Dec-14 21:36:49

Yes, please avoid flashing ads in general (migraine trigger).

peckishcaterpillar Sun 14-Dec-14 21:39:31

Yes, please avoid flashing ads in general

Hear, hear.

Bad for many people - if nothing else, maybe consider your position as a business from an equalities perspective...

LineRunner Sun 14-Dec-14 21:46:54

There should be a health warning.

SunshineOutdoors Sun 14-Dec-14 21:54:35

Yes it has been designed to look like you've got a mn pm. Bad advert I'm surprised is on this site.

NotMrsTumble Sun 14-Dec-14 22:34:28

Yup, still here. Made me click off the thread sad

LineRunner Mon 15-Dec-14 08:46:02
