Mumsnet Culture

Hey could we have something somewhere to explain the culture on MN? I have been here about 2 years and I still don't know what a quiche is. It could go in the abbreviations bit. It is very confusing sometimes!

Hello there

Thanks for this suggestion; we'll have a think.

Quiche is another word for clique. BUT, on Mumsnet it's used for the following things:

  1. A group of people supporting each other while dealing with a common problem;

  1. A group of people who share a common interest and have threads to talk about that;

  1. A group of people who have got to know each other and like to chat with each other;

  1. Something edible. Wink

NONE of these groups are actually cliquish as anyone is welcome to join in with them.
