I think any comments on here may put all the AH stuff in the shade.

TantrumsAndBalloons Mon 08-Apr-13 15:08:48

I've hidden 5 threads so far.

If it was all in one topic I could hide the entire thing and go about oblivious.
And, can you make people put "this is a Margaret thatcher thread" in the title please so I can just hide it without opening it?
Rather than having to open a thread and then go AAARRGGGHHH when I realise it's another grave dancing thread.

Can I hide in here too? When I heard the news on the radio my first thought was "ah shit this is going to kick off". Possibly I spend too much of my life on here grin

* mans barricades*

Yes pls MNHQ. Two threads, one topic.

"aw she's dead what a shame, eh"
"great she's dead at last"

And no more cluttering up the site with unedifying stuff. We can get back to discussing midi skirts on the over 40s. (yay or nay, do we think?)

Sparklingbrook Mon 08-Apr-13 15:49:49

YY sassy, but no no to the mini skirts. grin

TheRealFellatio Mon 08-Apr-13 15:49:59

I can't hide the threads, however deeply unpleasant they may get. I'm just lying low and taking notes, updating my spreadsheets etc....

It would help enormously to have them all in one place though. grin

sassytheFIRST Mon 08-Apr-13 15:51:18

MiDi skirts, sparkling, keep up!

I wear minis a lot - good legs even if they are 40 years old and a few months.

Sparklingbrook Mon 08-Apr-13 15:52:43

Ooh sorry sassy thought it was a typo but then given what you do for a living I should have known. grin And I didn't think you were over 40.

I do not have the legs for a mini.

Sparklingbrook Mon 08-Apr-13 15:53:52

One of the threads has claimed Jimmy Saville was Mrs T's best mate or something. confused

LadyMountbatten Mon 08-Apr-13 15:56:27

what does she do? Sell minis?
treat mono brows?

Sparklingbrook Mon 08-Apr-13 15:59:37

She owns a midi skirt shop for the over 40s wink

sassytheFIRST Mon 08-Apr-13 16:00:58

Same trade as you milady. We've crossed swords on many an education in Birmingham thread.

I nearly educated the sparkly one's oldest. Then they jumped ship wink

sassytheFIRST Mon 08-Apr-13 16:01:45

Why the monobrow comment?

Can you SEE me? shock

Sparklingbrook Mon 08-Apr-13 16:01:54

But she may be getting my youngest in Sept 2014. grin

LadyMountbatten Mon 08-Apr-13 16:07:57

No. I am sure your brows and skirts are Luvvly.

( note patois)

Kneedeepindaisies Mon 08-Apr-13 16:07:58

Is Midi knee length? confused

You can tell I'm never on the S&B threads.

sassytheFIRST Mon 08-Apr-13 16:21:43

Ar, theym luvvly. Roight noice.

HoneyDragon Mon 08-Apr-13 20:47:56

I'm finding this very hard. Having been directly helped by MT, I am increasingly fed up of people trying to out vile each other about how pleased they are that she is dead.

Please consider a topic as I don't want to have to fuck off till some people have finished being fucking juvenile. They aren't even discussing her politics or history. They are simply attention seeking.

Kneedeepindaisies Mon 08-Apr-13 21:39:57

Anymore thoughts on the Maggie topic MNHQ?

Pretty please.

Or put them all in politics or in the news.

I will give you wine

WorraLiberty Mon 08-Apr-13 22:06:43

I'm the first to whinge and moan that MN has far too many topics

But Jeez even I'd like to see a MT topic , just to get all the threads and bun fights off the main talk topics.

The only slight positive is that it's put the whole attention seeking by AH back in the shade.

And just before BGT starts too...what a shame grin

KnottingnotKnitting Mon 08-Apr-13 22:28:27

I think it's a great idea, am pretty new here and was shock at some of the venomous comments today. Can I wait it out in here please? I have some wine

Sparklingbrook Mon 08-Apr-13 22:34:54

Knotting it will blow over. Just get involved in the nonsense threads while you wait. I am glad I wasn't on MN when Madeleine McCann went missing I think.

WeDigUpTheRoad Tue 09-Apr-13 11:22:24

Please please do this. I've already hidden about 15 threads.

AIBU not to be glad Thatcher's dead?
AIBU to be glad Thatcher's dead?
AIBU to eat cheese while I decide if I'm glad or not that Thatcher's dead?

Never mind the chat/in the news/politics and probably Telly Addicts ones.
