Active convos consists of same six or so threads - duplicated to infinity and beyond, no matter how far down you scroll.

Go to Topics instead, and the blardy thing shuts down. As it does when you click on a thread you actually want to read.

I am having to actually TALK to people instead of MNing. That's just not normal.

I've stopped using it and am now reading stuff on the MN mobile site instead. I agree the most active are the same few threads.

I'm a regular on a living overseas thread & it's become unreadable. Whenever anyone uses an apostrophe or an umlaut then it puts a random word in its place.

Sort it out MN!

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry about the frustration.

The Active Convos duplication issue: do you mean that when you click 'more' on Active, some of the extra 10 threads that load are duplicates? If so, we're sorry about this but it's because, in the time that's elapsed between the page loading the top 10 threads on Active and the second ten threads on Active, some will have slipped from the first category to the second - and so show up again. We're sorry about this, but it would take a huuuuuuge amount of work/coding [not quite sure of correct term here] to fix it. For now, if you click on the 'refresh' icon in the top right of the screen, it should show you the up-to-date top ten threads again; if you really hate seeing the duplicates, this might be the best way to use Active.

Glitch in loading Topics page: thanks for flagging this one. We haven't been able to duplicate this crashing the app (is that what's happening with you?) but we have seen that it has failed to load a couple of times. We will get Tech to look at it.

We haven't been able to duplicate the issue of the app crashing when you click on a thread: is this still happening? Can we ask (at the risk of being annoying) whether you've downloaded the update, threeineachlobe?*

ploom, we've just mailed you - but we think the apostrophe/umlaut issue might be a problem with individual MNers' computers rather than the app itself. Let us know if you don't think that's right though.

BeaWheesht - not sure about the situation with Most Active/profiles; we will try to come back to you on this.

Duplicate threads: I don't see a 'more' (other than on bottom menu bar), and its not when I click 'refresh' - simply scrolling, nice and gently like, the same threads just keep coming.

I could understand the 'real time' constantly updating stance if I couldn't then scroll back up and see the little feckers still up there. Its duplicates I tell yer.

And the shutting down happens randomly, sometimes when clicking on a thread title - and when a thread kicks me out once, it keeps kicking - and sometimes on 'Topics' although I can usually get into it after a couple of goes.

My (updated) app suddenly quits whenever I try and flip a long thread. Anything over 100 posts is unflippable and chucks me out of the app completely. This happens both on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 5.

If you do a search, the post containing searched-for word is blank if you click directly onto it on results page. Can read the entire thread from OP down and find it that way, but that's a faff.

Why are the actual posts that you want to read just blank?

And talking of , anytime I or anyone else puts anything between those, it hides it on my phone, whereas I can see whatever it is perfectly well on my laptop.

I am also getting the duplicate threads thing and I am not clicking on More either.

Also, quite regularly when I click on a thread which has replies it returns a screen saying Null Replies and I have to press Back and then click on the thread again. It is very annoying. I have updated the app with the bug fixes, but it still does this.

Active conversations just scrolls the same handful of threads over and over. There ARE no second ten threads.

Search is kaput - clicking on results just takes me to a blank screen.

My iphone shows random symbols for pounds and apostrophes, which renders most things unreadable. Ditto losing everything between s. I thought posters were going crazy until I worked out what was happening.

I get Null Replies all the time.

This is after installing the update. I'm now checking daily for another update. In the meantime, I'm barely using Mumsnet.

I started the exact same thread over a week ago but didn't get a repsonse from HQ

As far as duplicate threads go - no it is not when I click on "more" but just the same 6 threads repeating. it first strated happening on Tuesday 11th December. If it is a long thread it also repeats the messages....

It only happened when I downloaded the upgrade so the upgrade meeds backing out.

I have given up with it now as I had no response from my original thread

The active convos does just keep repeating when you scroll, sometimes you can see the same thread twice on the screen. Please fix, the old app was much better than this one.

And please make the smilies how they were before.

If it was my new fangled kindle fire doing weird things I wouldn't mind, but it's an iphone 4s.
