a new feature on threads which alerts us if it is a very old thread resurrected?

I have just read a whole thread only to get to the end and realised it was from March!

If a thread lies dormant for over a month, once someone posts again it should flag up as 'the last post on this thread was over one month ago' or something similar.

then again for three months, 6 months and a year.

I know it probably doesn't really matter, but there is something irritating about spending time on a thread only to realise that the OP is probably not even listening any more.

Thank you. Grin

Well I spent ages reading an active thread the other day, and got to the end and realised I'd posted on it six months ago Confused it had completely deleted itself from my memory. Gawd knows why it was resurrected, but some people started posting on it again without realising. I suppose there is no law against posting on an old thread but of course the post you see is on Active convos is the most recent, so it doesn't always occur to you to cross reference the date of the OP as well. Many hours of my life of important people's time can be wasted like this you know. Hmm

I think they should be locked after certain length of time unless in classics.
