Yes, it wouldn't bother me but it's so damn jolty when you scroll down. Gaahhhhhh!

EdsRedeemingQualities Tue 06-Nov-12 16:16:23

Oh my God what is this! It stays even when I go to another page (A/c or threads I'm on) and it keeps jolting AND I can't even see the words, because it's widened the entire screen - I have to scroll sideways to look at it.

Help !

OvO Tue 06-Nov-12 16:16:32

Omg it's making me murderous. Everything was fine then POOF! there it was taking up a huge chunk on screen. Now all the text is smaller too, which is a pita.

Tee2072 Tue 06-Nov-12 16:16:54

Yes. Although it's not on this page.

It's annoying having it, but the scrolling down? Really bad, gang.

FancyPuffin Tue 06-Nov-12 16:17:55

Just came here to post same.

I hate it HQ it's stalking me and making me have funny eyes.

I'm sadder than someone in a Daily Fail article

ditavonteesed Tue 06-Nov-12 16:17:57

it has to go, that is just not acceptable and going to make my head hurt even more.

HazeltheMcWitch Tue 06-Nov-12 16:18:11

It is a bit queasy-making isn't it? Which is maybe the last association a cruise company would want. Apart from maybe a food poisoning outbreak. Or a serial killer rampaging on board...

OlaRapaceFru Tue 06-Nov-12 16:18:16

Yes. It's too much.
I know that advertising is what keeps MN (and us) going.
But that ad on both sides of the screen is just <bleurgh>
HATE IT

Please make it go away. Everytime I scroll down it follows me. A stalking advert.

I don't mind ads, it's just the following nature of it that I don't like. Well, that, and the fact that it's oddly laid out, so the text in each panel is cut off. Including the name of the cruise company itself (although I am a marketing geek so can id it from the font and campaign look), ergo it's also a crappy ad.

craftynclothy Tue 06-Nov-12 16:25:31

Yes, get rid. It's just bizarre and makes everythign else seem squashed up

marquesas Tue 06-Nov-12 16:27:17

Yes, yes, yes - stop it moving, it's awful I daren't go back on threads I'm on

valiumredhead Tue 06-Nov-12 16:27:33

God it's TRERRIBLE, pleeeesae get rid of it MNHQ!

valiumredhead Tue 06-Nov-12 16:27:50

terrible blush

Tee2072 Tue 06-Nov-12 16:28:05

Yes, the ad is fine. The moving part of the ad is not.

Change please!

MurderOfGoths Tue 06-Nov-12 16:28:11

Ah.. suddenly I understand why my computer appears to have gone nuts. Seems it has an effect even with ad blockers. Currently I've got dark blue blocks following me as I scroll

MaureenLove Tue 06-Nov-12 16:29:05

i hate the advert and would never go on a shitty exploitative naffola cruise anyway

valiumredhead Tue 06-Nov-12 16:29:32

Oh I would maureen blush grin

Pinot Tue 06-Nov-12 16:29:52

OMG

I just came here to post about this.

It is making me feel sick envy << like dat, see.

Please make it stop. Queasy is not a good look for me <vain>

Thanks in advance, old Tech old bean old chum

annh Tue 06-Nov-12 16:31:39

Ha, ha! We all arrived here to say exactly the same thing! It wasn't there a few minutes ago, was it? Shouldn't there be some kind of health warning with it - may cause nausea and extreme irritation?!

Poledra Tue 06-Nov-12 16:31:39

It'll significantly cut down my time on here- what's the point in having a makes-it-look-like-you're-working mode then putting a feck-off great big advert on the sides <wail>

MurderOfGoths Tue 06-Nov-12 16:31:53

Turned off my ad block, currently P&O is offering me "laxation". Is that anything to do with laxatives? If so, I'd rather not, thanks all the same.
