just asking.

at Op's request?

If a bunfight has ensued?

Lots of folk complaining?

Not contributing to the ethos?

One BF/FF was removed because it was boring shock going round and round in circles (this was a few years ago)

Pagwatch Fri 21-Oct-11 14:14:56

'Op having hissy' seems increasingly popular

Yama Fri 21-Oct-11 14:15:57

On a whim?

Arbitary reasons which are subject to whim.

Pagwatch Fri 21-Oct-11 14:18:35

We should get an accurate message.

Thread deleted as op has changed her mind

Thread deleted as op has emailled us every ten minutes for the last three hours and frankly she is fucking us off

Thread deleted as it is getting quite argumentative and we want to go to lunch, have a few drinks and not cone back to thread arrmagedon

Never pull a thread or your sleeve may drop off.

Maryz Fri 21-Oct-11 15:22:16

I posted this exact thread earlier, and they deleted my thread shock.

I asked whether the op being a bit of a twit was a good reason for deletion hmm. The reply I got was that the op had asked for it to be deleted because of a fear of RL recognition hmm and that my thread also had to go.

I was a bit grumpy about it, but none of you lot noticed it and it went pooft within about five minutes. I also wanted them to post on that thread "this thread has been deleted because, quite frankly, the op had a bit of a strop", but they wouldn't.

I presume this one will now go, and I am a bit miffed very cross that the shrimp one is still there, because it is also a thread about a thread [bitter].

seeker Fri 21-Oct-11 16:35:43

RL recognition? You mean calling a child a twit is such a very rare and shocking event that it would be easy to identify the child it happened to? Who'd a thunk it!

Maryz Fri 21-Oct-11 19:48:07

Why is this thread still here?

<<stamps foot>>

No offense seeker - but mine was deleted in about three minutes, before anyone had time to even reply shock. And this one and the fecking prawny one are still here. It makes no sense.

seeker Fri 21-Oct-11 19:55:29

Maybe if you accuse me of being a horrible meany-pie they'll pull it? Or if I say something that coils identify me in RL- er, I'm female, I live in Kent and I have red hair. That should narrow it down.

FearTricksPotter Fri 21-Oct-11 19:57:20

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

ColdSancerre Fri 21-Oct-11 19:58:35

Why are threads being deleted?

ASuitableGirl Fri 21-Oct-11 19:59:44

I had a thread pulled once as I had been identified in RL from it (a mum phoned me up about it). Took a couple of emails between MN Towers and me to get it pulled - I think they are quicker to delete these days <old gimmer>

Maryz Fri 21-Oct-11 20:04:26

Because op's are getting stroppy and don't like the answers they get.

So they tell mumsnet hq that they are afraid that they will be recognised irl.

Which is bollocks

Yes BeerTricks, I was very cross a bit miffed [grumpy]. And I was just about to tell them so when they deleted the fecking thread so I couldn't [very grumpy].

And then seeker posts one, and is obviously Much More Important than me, so it stays [even more grumpy].

<<wanders off muttering>>

Maryz Fri 21-Oct-11 21:53:22

Still [grumpy]

Still [muttering]

seeker Fri 21-Oct-11 22:54:06

<sticks hands-on pockets in insouciant manner>
<starts singing very quietly "Mary is a poo- poo head" over and over in an irritating manner, keeping half an eye on Mumsnet HQ as she sings

Maryz Fri 21-Oct-11 22:57:53

<<sticks tongue out>>

<<realises that no-one else cares>>

<<considers pm'ing all her friends to look for support>>

<<realises she doesn't have any>>

Disclaimer - may have had wine.

<leads maryz gently away for a quiet sit down, all the while shooting evil looks at seeker>

Sevenfoldedbloodybodies Fri 21-Oct-11 23:03:44

this one will be ok and mn hq are all at some post night club

Maryz Fri 21-Oct-11 23:08:12

It's not fair [stamps foot].

<<resists being dragged away>>

<<realises that to avoid divorce she had better go to bed>>

seeker Sat 22-Oct-11 18:38:56

<strolls round thread in a casual manner- hoping Maryz notices it's still here>

Maryz Sat 22-Oct-11 20:03:37

And seeker is laughing at me [harumpfpfpf]

One rule for important people is there, and one rule for me [hcross].

RebeccaMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 22-Oct-11 22:23:29

<strokes Maryz hand>

Don't take it personally Maryz, we love you really.
We did mail you and let you know at the time, did you get it?

Maryz Sat 22-Oct-11 22:27:12

Yes I got it, but I don't agree with it [harumph].

You deleted my thread, but you leave seeker's here. I can only presume favouritism though I suppose you could say mine was a little more direct in its reference to the original thread where the op was being a gobshite.

I want seeker to get an official warning for being horrid to me just, you know, if you have nothing better to do atm.

<<realises that [hcross] should have been angry, oops blush>>
