Please can we have a different colour for posts by the OP?

It would be really useful if subsequent posts by the OP in the thread they started could be a different colour to everyone else's. Sometimes threads get really long and it's boring to wade through 10 pages of posts looking for updates by the OP before you comment. Maybe purple where the blue header to each post would be? Thanks!

i think you can already do this

NewlyLush Thu 22-Sep-11 16:05:49

You can already do that - in customise.

AKMD Thu 22-Sep-11 16:05:57

Can you? How do you do that?

ClaimedByMe Thu 22-Sep-11 16:06:20

You can change your settings to do this so the op is green all through the thread!

What they said grin.

There's a separate (recent) thread about getting MNHQ to offer more colour choices, by the way.

(It might help those with colour blindness issues, and I've seen different colours used for contrast for some people with sight problems.)

Yes, we can!

Think we're in talks with Farrow and Ball natch.

Unfortunately my thread requesting more colours in Customise here doesn't seem to have prompted more lovely new colours, has it NetG? Despite your wonderful explanations.

P'raps OliviaMNHQ was too busy gassing on the train home to Cambridge yesterday?! grin

I'd really like to see OP's posts stay highlighted after namechanges, the technology must be there as every post, in every name I've ever used, is purple to me. Quite often the highlighting is lost due to a seasonal namechange and it can make it confusing, the fact it would make it easier for trolls to accidentally out their sock puppets would be a small bonus. grin

I mean 'as every post [I've ever made], in every name I've ever used, is purple to me'. I blame sleep deprivation for lack of coherence. blush
