Can I be daring and suggest merging the Food topic with the Recipes topic

Half the time a thread I start could go in either, and I don't think we would lose anything by merging the two.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes i agree - call it food and recipes if you want to minimise the controversy!

thestringcheeseincident Mon 19-Sep-11 20:33:28

Yes do agree.

Stormwater Mon 19-Sep-11 20:34:58

Agree, I never know where to post with these two.

OliviaMumsnet (MNHQ) Mon 19-Sep-11 20:45:25

hmm - a consensus.
Any objections?

<Quakes in boots at cardmarking>

The power of MNHQ is truly daunting!

FrauLindor Mon 19-Sep-11 20:46:41

Yes, good idea. I never know where to post.

Quick, Olivia. Before someone objects.

Yes please! Have never understood why we have both.

ColdSancerre Mon 19-Sep-11 20:48:03

I also agree.

LowLevelWhingeing Mon 19-Sep-11 20:50:05

excellent idea.

TrillianAstra Mon 19-Sep-11 20:58:17

I agree. I can't see a clear distinction between the two.

While we're having a tidy up, what about changing "weaning" to "feeding children" or something? I'm always surprised when picky eater/behavioural difficulties are in "food".

bigTillyMint Tue 20-Sep-11 13:15:02

No objections!

Ephiny Tue 20-Sep-11 13:24:51

Sounds good to me. People seem to use them interchangeably anyway.

debka Tue 20-Sep-11 13:25:58

Good idea!

trailing Thu 22-Sep-11 03:50:45

Yes please! I also agree with Lowlevelwhingeing's idea.

Tortoiseonthehalfshell Thu 22-Sep-11 04:11:26

LowLevel, I think of the picky eating posts as belonging in Parenting, so I think Feeding Child would clarify that as well.

And it's a yes from me.

VivaLeBeaver Thu 22-Sep-11 08:06:33

I agree.

I also agree with the teens and preteens. If I'm posting about a 12 yo then the mother of 13 or 14 year old could have some good advice for me. But she might not see my post as she doesn't have a preteen and isn't reading that board. Tweenagers and teenagers.

TheSkiingGardener Tue 11-Oct-11 12:57:38

Bumpety Bump.

Seems like no-one disagreed.

Any more thoughts MNHQ?
