Edited to add function

Hi MNHQ

Could we poosibly have an "edited to add" function (I have seen this on Digital Spy and it works really well) for posts, so that if we see spelling mistakes or the thread moves on quicker than we can type we can edit our post accordingly rather than have to write out another post explaining ourselves?

Does anyone else think this would be handy?

I think a time limited edit function would be a good idea ,but I think I'm in the minority

But some spelling errors are so very funny!

Thanks for the suggestion, does anyone else have any thoughts?

Yes! I would love the ability to edit your post. And to remove your post.

Well, when I say remove, remove the text. You know, like it says "Message deleted by Mumsnet", instead it could say "Message removed by <poster's name>".

So if I said something ridiculous and had 5 posters reply telling me I'm ridiculous, I could remove my post but it would still be obviously that I had originally posted something ridiculous.

Does that make sense? confused
