I asked some questions on this thread that may need to be thought about again.
The big thing is what we are allowed to do and not allowed to do. Linking to blog in the blogger network is ok - does that mean that anyone who is accepted to the BN is allowed to link to her/his blog in an attempt to gain readers? Which ties in with Tee's question about what the BN is for, if not to help us bloggers gain readers.
I can understand not being allowed to link to blog all over MN as that would be annoying for other posters, and obviously blog posts that are basically advertising a product should not be allowed either.
It really needs a bit of thought. Are we allowed to post something like this in the BN topic:
Hi. My name is MmeLindor and I have a blog [[ with link ]] where I blather on about various things and share recipes and tips for holidays in Switzerland. Come and have a look at my blog.
If posters do not like this, then they can hide the BN topic.
Hi all The idea of the bloggers' network is to promote great writing and yes to promote your blogs to the MN audience and to each other and give a space for bloggers to chat with eachother. We're not quite ready to launch properly yet - there is a small amount of Tech banging to be done in the shed first, so at this stage we are just collecting interested bloggers. But in a few weeks we hope to be ready to go properly and we (ie Elinor - who's in charge of it) will be sending out the full plans and rules of engagement very soon.
