Ta x

I'm having great fun reading them all back - they are hilarious and should be put into a book. Have we ever thought of an MN book? You know - the good the bad the ugly, the heartwarming and the frigging hilarious and surreal? I'd buy it. Grin

I know we can read it all on here for nothing, but it would be nice to have the best parts of classics or just fabulous moements from otherwise average threads reincarnated without having to search for them or stumble across them. And MNHQ wouldn't have to do too much donkey work becuase we could all nominate priceless moments from memory to help compile the contents for potential inclusion. G'wan, do it. You know you want to. Grin

I'm really excited at the prospect of an MN book now. And no-one is going to see my fantabulous idea here in Site Stuff, where the tumbleweed blows through, are they? Sad

A compilation of all the talk roundups in a book? What a brilliant idea - I'd buy it!!

Yes but not only round ups, but some of the most fantastic threads (in an abridged form - only the most salient or hilarous posts.) Plus a glossary of MN terms, (not just the DH, MILs etc) but things like judgeypants and poncetastic, and arf - you know, like a novice's guide to the 'personality' of the site.

And a sort of biography of the site, from humble beginnings, to the last 'Mumsnet Election' now that we are such a powerful force Grin spanining Moldiegate, and she who must not be named, etc etc, but done in a light hearted way.

We could sell it with a % going to a good children's charity or summat.

You are on a roll today, Fellatio!

You going to edit it, Fellatio? You seem to have a good outline there already..............

I'm tempted to be honest! I couldn't do it though, surely, due to copyright. It's a damn fine idea though even if I do say so myself.

HELLO? HELLOOOOOO? Everyone come over here please, right now. We have an important proposition to put to you all. Don't ignore Site Stuff today. It's very exciting for once. Grin

I'll set out some rows of chairs with notepads and pencils and I'll get some Danish pastries in for coffee break.

And the best bit is that anyone with even a vague hope of being mentioned in it will buy it, so that's loads of us straight away. I HAVE to be mentioned at least twice, as it was my idea. I'll sue otherwise.Grin

I'm afraid I have to cancel this brunch brainstorming session, and ask you all (all one of you Hmm) to return for a dinner meeting, as the state of my house has reached an all time low and I need to (try to) log off for the day. But you can talk amongst yourselves (or just yourself SDTG) and pitch in ideas until I return. Remember it was my idea though. any overthrowing or hijacking in my absence and I will sue.

Oh, but SDTG the danish pastries are in the kitchenette in a Waitrose bag - you can eat them if you like.

I am ignoring the state of my house, Fellatio - not to mention the huuuge ironing pile - and I will sit here quietly, admiring your efficiency and talking amongst myself until you return.

Was that ooooh because of my brilliant idea, or oooh because of the free glass of wine?

OpheliaBumps · 02/03/2011 20:31

Yum, thanks for the Wine, but where's the cheese to go with?

Love the idea of the book - can we have it in Kindle format too?

Oh, and can we have it in time for my visit to the PILs next week - when I'll be MNless for a whole week
