Sorry, don't know why that link doesn't work. I've found the owner's own website which is better anyway:

Late to this thread, but would highly recommend this property where we stayed in August (9 of us in total).

(we rented the larger, 4-bedroomed property, but you can rent either, or both, depending on the size of your party)

How about this one in the Vendée:

We flew to Bergerac and hired a car. It's under an hour's drive then.

There isnt a village you can walk to but some of our party cycled there ( there are bikes at the house to borrow). Atvthe village there's a boulangerie and a lake that is lovely to walk round. Regarding activities we went to local markets, visited a castle, on the last day went to some caves in the Dordogne ( because it was easy as our flight from Bergerac was in the evening). We spent a lot of time at the house paying rounders, swimming etc. there is plenty to do on the region but I'd say it's not as picturesque as the Dordogne. There's a windmill not far fom the house that you can walk to- makes a lovely evening walk.

house is lovely. Very easy to get to from Bergerac Airport and in a very quiet area. There are two properties on site so you could end up sharing the pool but the smaller house only sleeps 4 so it' s not too bad if you are in the bigger house. The big house is tastefully furnished, spacious and very well- equipped. I would love to go again!
