Am I being un-reasonable

So my partner has offered to pick up his friend because she doesn't like driving. However it's like a V shape. 40 minutes to pick them up, followed by another 45 minutes. When they could just drive themself saving 1hr 20 minutes.

I think he is being an enabler and allowing her to avoid driving. He says she is anxious about driving. However I think not encouraging her to drive she can't grow as a person and build her confidence.

He says it's a one of but I think this will start a trend.

Am I being unreasonable.

I’m with you, if she has a licence, use it. The only way to increase confidence is to go and do

Are they genuinely just friends? Could it be an excuse to spend time together?

This should be in AIBU, you would get a lot more traffic for a start. It sounds like an excuse for them to spend time together. Does she have a vehicle to use?

Thanks guys, in the end it seems the reality has sort of pushed her to drive more. So it appears to be working out. I guess many years of not having to leave her home town have suddenly been changed.
