ADs and ED

My experience of ADs is that they dramatically or completely reduced my ability to orgasm and massively impacted my libido.

The reduction of my libido desensitised me both physically and mentally. Things that turned me on before, didn't turn me on after, or as much, so whilst it didn't directly impact my ability to get an erection, it takes a lot more for me to be turned on and get an erection in the first place.

Thank you both. It's early days of him being on ADs and we've not really had a chance to talk about it properly, other than his throw away comment of the body not being able, which I have taken to mean he's not getting erections. We'll talk more at the weekend. And I really do mean thank you, it's been concerning me how to react when we do get a chance to talk about it so two different povs have helped.

Can you not enjoy each other without penetration? Perhaps you could ask him to concentrate on giving you pleasure through massage etc, and let him know you aren't expecting him to perform. You may both enjoy it more than you expect.

To my knowledge ADs don't lead to "the body not being able". I've been on ADs for about 6 months and the problem I have is not being able to "finish" which I believe is more common. Not saying your DP's ED is not related but it may have other causes.

Not sure that helps you but since you'd had no other replies here it is. smile

Ok, so this is probably a bit of a lame post for here but not sure where else to post it.
DP has been put on anti-depressants recently. We've not DTD since, not because of the ADs, just circumstances, but he has said that things aren't working as they were. A not uncommon side effect.
Just before this happened I bought a gorgeous outfit to wear in bed. I'm not confident with lingerie AT ALL but it's super sexy and flattering and I was looking forward to surprising him with it. But I'm worried that if he has AD related ED that it won't have the desired effect. His mind is willing but the body not able atm and I don't want to end up crushing my already low self esteem by trying to seduce him if it's really not going to happen! Lingerie aside - can I help him?
Does anyone have any experience of this?
