Sex after c section

I had our baby a week ago and my DH and I really want to get back to it. I know physically it's too soon, but what other alternatives do we have? Sorry for sounding daft.

Wow 10 days? My experience after C section was very different, I still couldn't get up off the sofa without wincing at 10 days! Generally the advice is to wait until you've had your 6 week check, but that's playing it very safe, I think it's recommended you wait at least 2 weeks due to possible infection risk though. I waited until I was completely pain free from the C section before trying, which was definitely over 2 weeks.

I think me and DP had sex just before my 6 week check, but it was really painful! My GP said this was normal as I was breastfeeding. I honestly don't think I couls have done it any sooner, I felt physically disabled for weeks after my C Section 🙈
