Urgent help! Anal sores

I’ve never had anything like this before Blush My partner and I have been together for 2 years, have a little girls together and before that we were with our partners for 10 and 16 years. We had anal sex last week, only the 3rd time I’ve done it.
I have 3-4 sores on the outside part of my anus that are really sore. I don’t know whether it is ingrown hairs from where I shaved, or anal herpes?! He isn’t sore anywhere and has never had them, and neither have I. My vagina is fine,
Could this really be herpes? I’m horrified!

Did you maybe tear a bit and that's what is sore

twinkle I am hoping to get to gu clinic tomorrow to get checked over as I feel sore in that area for the past few days since having anal sex nearly a month ago.Have looked in the mirror but can’t see anything visually.I already carry HSV2 virus - they diagnose that by taking swabs so perhaps get yourself checked out while sores still there.Either you or your partner could have been carrying the HSV for years without knowing So is possible I suppose that you could only just be having a outbreak now but as oo said may just be sore from the anal sex itself.Hope you get it sorted.Mine was stupidly with a risky partner so hoping it’s bothing serious-you’d have thought I’d learnt my lesson after having contracted HSV2 before!

I don’t think it’s tears as it’s not my anus, but the surrounding area. There’s just 4 or so little bumps but they are really sore. I’m just so confused if it is herpes as neither us or previous partners have had it. I’ve read it can lay dormant for a long time, but that long?! And wouldn’t he have sores too? He’s absolutely fine...
I’m too scared to go to the docs, I don’t want them to confirm herpes Sad but I s’pose I’ve got no choice.

You can virally shed and pass it on without having open sores - ie can carry it for years and pass it on and never know.i know it’s scary but best to get seen.or could be warts - HPV virus which causes warts can be carried for years without knowing.good luck x

Could be herpes. It can be dormant for ages and there could easily have been infidelity from previous partners.

If you dont want to go ro gum right now, take a photo and compare with internet images... but it makes sense to go.

Go to the clinic as soon as you can as they diagnose from taking swabs and if the sores disappear then they won't be able to swab. Best to be certain. I went for a similar issue and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to a pantyliner. Another cause could be exercising in a thong or wearing underwear whilst it's still partially wet from the wash, or shaving rash as you said.

Sounds like ingrowing hairs from shaving . It would be easy to get a decent mirror and tweezer them out and then the painful spot would disappear but it's an awkward area. .
If you have a good light and a magnifying mirror have a better look ?
