Stress causing me to be horny! Is this likely?

Has anyone noticed if they become horny when stressed?
My periods stopped a while back (I'm 45) and the GP has said it is my working hours. Nights etc. My hormone levels showed I am not peri-menopausal and I am still ovulating.
I have a sexless marriage so this is a real problem. I have been put on sick leave for a month but I didn't dare mention the horniness to the GP.
I made a mistake taking on FT hours 2 years ago after being PT for 10 years. Too much and I am struggling with housework, kids and work! Been feeling overwhelmed for a while. I am in a profession that my degree is specifically for so will struggle to find something else. Manager won't let me drop hours.

I am the biggest earner and DH is ten years older and looking at retirement in the next few years as his job may be made redundant. Pressure!

Simply put, yes, it can for me. Solo time important especially if you arent getting regular sex. I think us women in mid 40's can get quite rabid for it... Blush

I think your age many have a lot to do with it. That, and the fact your have a sexless marriage.

I'm 46, had a very stressful year, had an almost sexless marriage, and I've been ridiculously horny. I've been like a bloody teenager, lusting after unavailable men, googling swingers clubs etc...

I think it's a combination of hormones, and the realisation that life is short and stressful, so get your fun where you can.

Luckily, I have an understanding DH who suggested an open type marriage (which was never going to work as all my crushes are married!), and eventually bought some Viagra.

Orgasm is a good stress reliever, so yup, makes perfect sense!

I find I can get quite aroused when I'm stressed. An orgasm seems to help calm me down. Possibly to do with how the body processes both feelings? I suggest you invest in a good vibrator.
