Hotels for hot date - early check in

Hot date with hottest man on Earth approaching. We need to meet half way so we will be meeting in a hotel. The problem is that most hotels have an afternoon check-in date, and we want it roughly from 10 am to 4 pm. Any suggestions? Is it worth phoning the large hotels and asking if they'd agree to those hours? I admit I'm a bit embarrassed to ask, as clearly the room would be used for naughty purposes...

We'll be meeting in a northern city, not in London (in case this makes any difference).

I think some Travel Inn/Lodge/Premier Inn type places will allow an early check in if arranged in advance (you've just returned from furrin and need to catch up with some sleep before a long drive, if you want a cover story Grin ) Because you pay up front and there can be no extras like phone calls/room service, they have a wee box into which you drop your key as you leave, whenever that is, no need to chcek out or talk to anyone. Google the area and see what's available.

I would have thought most hotels would let you in if the room is ready. Just ring and ask for an early check-in. There may be an extra charge. Then, at 4pm, say you've been called away and check out then. Give the task of checking in and out to your hotmanfriend.

There are loads of websites, for hotels offering day rooms, from 2 stars to 4 star hotels.

I agree, hotman friend should sort it tho.

Oh, yes, hot man will sort it. It's just that we were talking about it and none of us knew how to find out about these hotels. I immediately thought to myself - I bet some MNetter will know! Wink

You do run the risk of people assuming you are a prostitute/mistress, but hotels really are quite used to it.

She won't be mistaken for a prostitute, what a bizzare suggestion! And wtf is wrong with meeting a hot man in a Travelodge/similar? They're usually modern, clean, fresh linen, working showers, respect your privacy, what more do you want for hot sex?

Try //www.Between9and5.com - they have the Malmaison in Manchester for £60. Day rooms are common things in larger cities and at airports.

And when you are leaving, you don't have to have any sort of conversation with them, ''Oh hi, here's the key, we won't need the room any longer, we had a terrific shag thanks and we'll be off now...''

Just drop the key on the desk, walk out. Simples. It's not got anything to do with them, and I can guarantee you aren't the first... :)

I just did this!! We went for Novotel by the airport. Got an upgraded executive room for £55 because I had terrible building work going on at home and we simply couldn't work from there today ahem!!

Thnk we had it 9-5pm (and then I had to go and collect ds and head back to reality)

Have fun!

Usually if you ask for check in, they will grant it. I have done this a few times, and it's always been honoured.

Twirlypoo, that's a great deal! Did you negotiate that rate beforehand or was it advertised in the hotel's website?

I called up the day before and they offered me that rate over the phone. It may have been advertised too though, but I didn't check.

I know malmaison do day rates too for about the same price if you have one near you Smile

Thanks for the websites! Unfortunately, they don't seem to have hotels in the city I need. I think I'll just phone round and see what they say.

Hi, just to update everyone - I managed to find an early check-in room in a fantastic hotel for a bargain price. I just emailed them and asked them. Thanks for the advice!
