Who else is counting the days until GCSE results arrive?

Errrr... NO! We all have lives here

In fact DH and I won't even be here the day the GCSE results come out as DS3 has his birthday on the 26th and we are taking him and DS4 on a surprise trip to London for three days.

DS2 will have to get on the train, go to school and pick up his results with all the other boys. I'll get him to bell me or DH when he is ready.

DS1 will be here to commiserate if he doesn't get what he hopes for.

DS took a couple early in Yr 9 & think we get the results when he goes back in Sept. Can't say I'm too bothered, because he does 12 altogether they get them to do the soft ones first, ie RE and Business studies.

No doubt when he gets the other 10 results in 2 yrs we'll be biting our nails!

well done on your DS doing some early mumblechum. My DS did 3 early, 1 in year 9 and 2 in year 10 and it is good to get them out of the way and also to view them as a practice run for the real thing. I'm not the one who is stressed, it is DS as he is anxious to be able to inform his new college of his results to confirm his place. Although we know he will get good enough grades to get in he is a perfectionist and is concerned he may only get A grades instead of A* (smartarse wink)

yay, proud mum alert blush
DS got most of his results online last night at midnight (IGCSEs) with the rest due on 27th August.
He got 2 x A*, 3 x A and 1 x B to add to the 3 As he already had. He is a bit disappointed about the B and some of the As not being* but at least he has secured his place into his new 6th form grinCan relax now until A levels

Yay! Those are good results, especially as IGCSE are supposed to be harder than GCSE.

LOL @ "can relax now until A levels". that will be, er, this time next year then?

thanks senua but a year is better than nothing (am also planning being abroad next year and so his dad can have his share of the stress!) grin
