Has anyone any experience of this school? It seems popular and is oversubscribed but I also hear about gang trouble and various other negatives etc

Anyone any real experience of it?

I have a child that has just left the Chalfonts Community College after 7yrs at the school.(He is off to University) As far as i am concerned it is an excellent school and i have nothing but praise for the staff that work there. I do not recognise the "gang trouble" you talk about, but what i do know is that any trouble is delt with immediatly and fairly.
There is a very good reason why it is oversubscribed!

I had heard rumours in the past (which I dismissed) but there was a recent significant and violent incident in the school which worried me, but it is good to hear that it obviously doesn't pervade the school if your dc could be there 7 yrs and be oblivious to anything.

Thanks

I am a mum who has two children at The Chalfonts Community College and am very happy with the eduction that both my children receive. When i was looking at secondary schools for my son who has special needs this was the only school for us.Since joining The Chalfonts he has gone from strength to strength and last year gained his first GCSE.My daughter is in her second year and i have seen her confidence grow and she is very involved with cheerleading and the local drama production. This school offers an excellent education to both my children.
