11+ Results - what will the e mail say?

We are just out of county for Kent 11+ (but an easy commute). Ideally need to be in the top scoring bracket for an automatic place. When you receive the results does it say whether you are in the ‘top 90’ or do you just receive a score.

Do you mean you are trying for Dartford Grammar? I think you only know what your test score is - I am not sure if they show the top 180v

It just says the score as the scores needed for out of county change each year and it depends on how many out of county top scorers apply. The eleven plus exams forum has a Kent talk forum which will have people posting on results day. The out of county scores to obtain places at say Judd or Dartford have risen for the last few years. Ideally you want 400+

Top 180 is a Bexley Test thing.

Kent here op and we have done this a few years ago
You just get a score

Also the council usually release a spreadsheet with shows how many kids fall in the various score brackets both in county and for ooc
Based on this a lot of analysis happens by parents in the eleven plus forum on what the cut off could be
However until march 1st nothing is certain.
Also this is a strange year so no one can really say how the scores versus grammar spaces go.
Good luck and fingers crossed for a good score on Thursday!

IIRC it will tell you the overall score, the score on each paper, and whether your child has been 'assessed as suitable for grammar'. You can also email Kent to get the raw scores if you care enough. On the elevenplusforum lots of people post their scores, and quite quickly some clever people start number crunching to try to predict pass marks for the super selectives.

So does Dartford grammar have a top 90? Gosh that will be tough!

You will receive an overall standardized (adjusted for age) score (max of 423) comprised of three individual scores (Maths, English, Reasoning) of up to 141 (as reference, the avg score will be 100). If you are interested in the raw score (exact number questions your DS got right) then you can email Kent council.

For those "out of country", to get into the likes of Judd or Dartford Grammar, you will likely need at least 390 and as another poster suggested, ideally 400+.

Typo - I meant out of county, and NOT country.

Got a respectable 380, not enough for OOC at Dartford but we’ve got other options.
