We have an offer for DS from St George's College 11+, school results look to continuously get better, we were impressed with the head and generally the grounds and facilities are awesome.

We did however have slight reservation on the diversity (or lack of) especially compared with other independents closer to London.

Any parents with experience/views on school?

I think we are going go accept regardless but just good to get additional views which you may not see on an open day.

Thanks!

I guess all schools in London are more diverse? My DS is there and has a lot of friends from different cultures and parents from other countries. SGW is becoming more academic because the competition at 11+ is growing. Around 500 applicants this year, highest ever

@Starlilly88 thank you that is good to know, yes London schools are diverse but thinking SGW is in surrey just outside London and walking around it did not jump out for diversity. Not a huge concern, we love the school and have accepted the offer.

Agree on being more competitive, I also see they are pushing ahead on the academic league tables...in the 70's/80's nationally.
