Can anyone talk to me about this school and how it compares to the other local independents? Any changes since new head has come in?

Likewise, keen to know whether school has changed much. Daughter is quite academic but reserved; wondering if it is the right place for her

Likewise, considering the school but surprised what changes has the new head has brought in? And what the plans / strategy for the school's development is... Especially now, they have scrapped the 11+ exam for existing prep girls. Not many insights here.
@sleepismysuperpower1 would appreciate some advice

Have just seen this and keen to know what changes have been/will be made. Open day was impressive.

I have been at open day and was not impressed with the presentation. Liked the girls-guides but they could not say anything about the future direction of the school ...

thank you!

I need to know more about this school, specially with the new management and their new Head.
I went to their 11 plus open day several months ago, it seems a decent school but their top management does not have any Oxbridge educated staff, I would be grateful if some one can help me about their culture and what they say about the school is really true, about nuturingand preparing girls for the future etc. Is it worth all the investment, comparing to a good state school.

@pubandstate from what I know , it’s a very good school and comparing to a very good state one it will be miles ahead, so def a good investment. Not very expensive but they do have way too many girls for that small site in the centre of St Albans. If you are looking for a school that will provide quality sport and art curriculum in addition to the excellent academic programme you will be disappointed. Oxbridge educated staff means nothing - they do prepare Certain students for Oxbridge exams.They have very good teachers. Not sure about the new Head of senior school though. She is from the US and with background in science as oppose to teaching...
