Hi everyone, we obviously know Roedean but I have come across Roedean Moira House. Does anyone know of them? Are they part of the same consortium? Then why different names? How do the two compare?
Any insights would be helpful.

Roedean Moira House (formerly Moira House) joined the Roedean group of schools just over a year ago. They're an all through girls' school in Eastbourne. Lovely school which offers the girls exciting opportunities in a very caring environment.

thanks DW69, but how are the different from Roedean then? Just can't work it out why open an other girls's school literally less than an hour drive from Brighton? Do they share resources/ programmes?

You should enquire at the schools. It probably gives some info on websites

Isn't Roedean co-ed? I think they're also selective whereas Roedean Moira House isn't selective. The Roedean International programme is shared I think. I would highly recommend a visit to Roedean Moira House if you're looking for pastoral lead, student centred education.

Roedean In Brighton isn't co ed? Although they have talked about introducing boys previously. Roedean Moira House is girls only too.

Roedean is selective in that there are interviews and entrance exams, but only very gently so. There is an extensive experience day programme.

About a year ago the (long established) Moira House in Eastbourne joined the Roedean group of schools. I guess Roedean bought it as part of an expansion programme. They now share Oliver Blond as executive head of Moira House and head of Roedean. ( He's Daniel Craig's half brother not that that's relevant really!)

Day pupils to the East of Eastbourne would be interested in Roedean Moira House but unlikely to travel to Brighton.

Hi my daughter is at Roedean Moira House. The school was established in 1875 as Moira House Girls school. It was taken over by Roedean around 2 and a half years ago. Moira house has always been a girls school from nursery through to A levels whereas Roedean is only from year 7.
Roedean is selective Moira House isn’t. Both schools other than that have always been very similar. Moira House has always had an extensive extra curricular programme which used to run in the middle of the day but has been moved to the end.
Both schools are single sex, one of the reasons we chose Moira House. Oliver Blond is our executive head but Andrew Wood is our headmaster. He’s a thoroughly engaging, enigmatic head and the school has improved leaps and bounds under his headship.
Roedean and Roedean Moira House are both fantastic schools and although reasonably close to each other, my daughter is bussed into school each day from one of the villages just outside Hastings and Brighton would be not possible without boarding, something I’d not even contemplated.
If you’re interested please do come and look around.
