Hi, I've put this here as it's through the school so has to conform to school H&S which I know newt about.

She wants some ideas for sports day type of events, but no tying feet together.
I think school have the usual PE equipment.
She has the normal races, hoopla, small obstacle course. They can't afford inflatables.

She asked me to ask on here as she says she has had other fund raising ideas from here, like the 5 a side football for schools, advertised on here a few weeks back.

My DD's school once did a sponsored space hop down the school drive (think it was about a mile long). You would need space hoppers though!

Do any of the kids bike to school? A very traditional 'silly' race is a Slow Bicycle Race - the winner is the last competitor to cross the line - but no balancing on a stationary bike - that's a disqualification. Might well have the charm of novelty. Sports days - IIRC, including the Olympics - used to finish with a Tug of War Grin

My friends DD organised a triathlon event. My boys school does a yearly event for those fundraising and they do stuff like archery, goal scoring, how many goals can you score in 1 min - netball/ basketball, soak the teacher, cupcakes/ sweets and drinks for sale

What is she fund raising for? You say it is through school but is for funds for the school or to pay for a voluntourism trip?

it's for a charity, unsure which. I think it's McMillan or another cancer charity. She did mention this a while ago.
She's always organising something, she has a fun day too, with disco and face Painting, and also rowing the length or width of The English Channel. (on gym equipment) not the water Grin
This sporting one is to go alongside that 5 aside football thing, she sent the details to her school off here, and made them register Grin
Thanks for the suggestions so far.
